Conventional centre lathes

Harp Machine Tools’ precisely engineered range of CNC centre lathes uses sophisticated technology to ensure longevity and outstanding performance.

SMTCL standard conventional centre lathes

The SMTCL CA series of CNC lathe machines are suitable for a wide range of turning applications. These conventional lathes are constructed from high-quality Meehanite castings. With a wider bed than most conventional lathes, these CNC lathe machines have a greater degree of rigidity. The spindles are forged steel and are supported by precision NSK bearings, and the ground steel gears are lubricated by an automatic force lubrication system.

ZM Standard Conventional Centre Lathes

A conventional lathe or CNC lathe machine is used to make cylindrical parts. The process involves the cutting tool moving in a linear fashion while the workpiece is clamped and rotated by a spindle. Significant improvements on turning centres in recent years include the introduction of driven tools in the turret, with a C-axis on the spindle, enabling a wide variety of milling functions.
